How it Works
- 1 v 1 Battles
- 3 rounds
- Music will be provided – contestants will free-style to the music that is provided
- Judges will be provided by MORTON’S DANCE CENTER
- On-line registration - register below!
- On-site registration – on a first come first serve basis
REGISTRATION
6:00pm – 7:00pm
Registration begins at 6pm. All dancers MUST report to the main stage before 7pm.
Even if you are pre registered you must check in the night of the event before 7pm.
COMPETITION STARTS AT 7:00PM
Round 1
- 20 seconds per dancer
- 2 dancers go head to head for 20 seconds – random numbers are pulled for match-ups
- Judges pick the best of each pair
- Winner goes to round two
- In the event of uneven dancers, judges will randomly select another contestant to go twice
Round 2
- Winning contestants from Showcase Round will go 1 v 1
- 30 seconds per dancer
- 2 dancers go head to head for 30 seconds – random numbers are pulled for match-ups
- Judges pick the best of each pair
- Winner goes to Semi-Final Round 2
- In the event of uneven dancers, judges will randomly select another contestant to go twice
Round 3
- Winning contestants from Semi-Final Round 1 will go 1 v 1
- 30 seconds per dancer
- Judges pick the best of each pair
- Winner goes to Final Round
- In the event of uneven dancers, judges will randomly select another contestant to go twice
Final Round
- Winning contestants from Semi-Final Round 2 will go 1 v 1
- 30 seconds per dancer
- Judges will pick the winner from each battle until it is narrowed down to the champion
